To Be Continued......

I've mentioned in the previous post that I'm in the process of moving. So between that and putting out some minor family emergencies fires, my blog has suffered :-( until today :-) I have in the works my wardrobe dress pants, jacket, a hat for my sister's b-day coming up, and I already have my skirt in process. I've been jumping from sewing project to sewing project because I had no mirror. This is my first time making pants, so I've been very meticulous about making the proper fitting adjustments (in other words, I'm nervous). I'm so grateful to find that Mimi Jackson has a couple of posts with some important tips: Pants Fitting & Thing To Know Before You Sew Part 4.

I searched in my favorite website for bargain priced books, http://www.bookfinder4u.com/, for the catalog she mentions in her post which seems to be out of circulation unfortunately. I even checked Ebay.com and nada- nothing came up. Now I purchased not to long ago Readers Digest: Complete Guide to Sewing 1981 ed. How happy was I when I opened and jumped ahead a some chapters (I'm currently reading the first half) and found a complete break down of exactly what she was talking about. I have just been over analyzing everything to the point where I started to second guess myself. So you can imagine when I saw this, my state of panic quickly subsided. In a future post, I'll give you more details of what I found in the book. Well, I'm off Saturday to home depot for my apartment's paint selections. I'll post before pics of the rooms when I remember to bring my camera. I'm a bit conflicted on which colors shades to pick. There are so many that I like. At least I have two more days to sleep on it.
***BTW, I picked up the 3 panel mirror...YAAY! Thanks to YOU who crossed your fingers, it worked :-) The mirror is still wrapped. It doesn't make sense to unwrap it and mount it if I'm moving, bbbut.... who cares. Sewing comes first :-)

Experts say...looking at the clothes in your closet is the best way to pick out a paint color. If you wear a color often, chances are you'll love it on your walls too. Hope that helps!

Hey, I'm glad the pants postings were helpful to you! I intend to do more, since it is such an involved subject.
